A DEVELOPING WINTER STORM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE INTO THE DESERT SOUTHWEST ON TUESDAY AND

ACROSS ARIZONA AND NEW MEXICO TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY. THIS WILL BRING SNOW TO THE

MOUNTAINS BEGINNING TUESDAY...AND ACROSS THE PLAINS BY TUESDAY NIGHT. THE SNOW MAY

BECOME HEAVIER WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE EASTERN PLAINS OF

COLORADO. NORTH WINDS ARE ALSO EXPECTED TO INCREASE TO 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 40

MPH BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT... AND THIS COULD PRODUCE CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW

OVER THE FAR EASTERN PLAINS OF COLORADO AS WELL. SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION

WILL BE POSSIBLE DEPENDING ON THE EXACT TRACK AND INTENSITY OF THIS STORM. PEOPLE

PLANNING TRAVEL ACROSS COLORADO OR POINTS EASTWARD INTO NEBRASKA AND KANSAS SHOULD BE

PREPARED FOR HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY.
