Please, let’s not have any empty apologies from Senator Boxer (D-CA), either. The Senator is, and always has been, a bit self-important in her feminism and smug about her political status, and no grudging apology is going to change that. The rhetorical “who does she think she is?” has applied aptly to Senator Boxer since she ascended to California’s twin thrones.
This media-driven culture of publicly extracted apology among the chattering class is one big, yawning, barfy banality.
In the meantime, feel free to call qb whatever you wish – especially if Blue Bell Blackberry Cobbler ice cream is in the offing.
