Greetings from the Albuquerque Tea Party

15 April 2009

I couldn’t get out of the Albuquerque airport before quitting time today, so I decided to fight the traffic on Montgomery Blvd. and check out the Tea Party.  Fun, lots of generous folks, upbeat mood, a few clever signs, and a lot of energy…plus the beautiful New Mexico sunshine and a pint of Sierra Nevada PA over supper on the patio.  Not as festive or irreverent as Dan’s Bake Sale was in ’93, but a good time nonetheless.

OK, back to work.

For an even better time, you should have driven north to Madrid and had a brew at the Mine Shaft Tavern. Nothing taxing there.

It’s been years since qb was in Madrid…I had no idea there was supposed to be an adult-level push-pin in a place like that. But I guarantee I’ll check it out next time! qb
